About Us
Cameron Clark, LCSW, SEP, ERYT
Founder, Therapist, Certified Brainspotting Therapist
Cameron is a Licensed Clinical Social worker and yoga teacher with over a decade of experience as a therapeutic yoga instructor, trauma therapist, community educator and non-profit program director. Cameron is passionate about walking alongside clients on their journey towards wellness, using an integrative and evidenced-based approach. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is the most vital element of the healing process and brings her most authentic self to the work.
Cameron is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Certified Brainspotting Therapist, and has advanced training in EMDR, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, DBT and Mindful Self Compassion. Cameron incorporates parts work, inner child work, and other mindfulness-based interventions to support individual client’s needs. Cameron is a forever student of the natural world, most recently receiving a certificate from the Plant Folk School of Herbalism. Cameron is also proud to be a circle facilitator under the guidance and mentorship of Tracy and Leigh Ann Roberts of the Circle Center Nashville.
After receiving her Masters Degree in Social Work, Cameron began her career as a clinical therapist at the Sexual Assault Center (SAC). Her experience supporting survivors of sexual violence enabled her to transition into program development, where she worked to establish and develop the Center’s Statewide Training Program, serving as the Director of Statewide Training through the remainder of her tenure at SAC. In this role, Cameron and her team provided comprehensive capacity building opportunities to sexual assault service providers across the state. The program placed an emphasis on the psycho-physiology of trauma, trauma informed practices and practitioner wellness and resiliency.
A competitive athlete throughout her childhood and into college, Cameron gradually exchanged 2 a days for a yoga practice starting in 2008. This practice has been central in her own personal development; guiding her as she navigates healing and spirituality in a practical way. She completed her first teacher training at Pure Yoga in New York City in 2011 and has gone on to study therapeutics with Dana Slamp and the faculty at Prema Yoga Institute, Bo Forbes, Yin yoga with Sarah and Ty Powers, Restorative Yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater and Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), an evidence-based clinical intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) through the Center for Trauma and Embodiment.
When not in the therapy office or yoga studio, you can find Cameron out hiking and climbing, gardening with her dachshunds, desperately trying to make friends with bees, in the ceramics studio and traveling to remote places with her husband. She is inspired by the rhythms of nature, folk music and the dance of vulnerability.
Cameron founded Beyond Counseling and Wellness in November of 2021, and Beyond Wellness Herbal Remedies in 2024.
Em is a licensed professional counselor (temp), cat mom and fellow seeker on the journey of healing and freedom. With personal experience in trauma recovery and sobriety, she deeply understands the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. It brings her authentic joy to create a safe, welcoming space where others can bring their whole selves. She thrives on witnessing clients gain new insights that shift how they engage with the world. Em is passionate about helping people soften towards themselves, cultivating self-compassion and discovering greater peace within.
Em holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University. Her career began at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, where she offered therapy and mindfulness interventions to clients navigating mental health and chronic health concerns. This experience deepened her understanding of the mind-body connection and the importance of holistic healing. Em then served as a primary therapist at The Ranch, where she worked with individuals facing trauma, addiction, eating disorders, and mental health challenges, honing her ability to craft compassionate, personalized treatment plans. Most recently, as a personal development coach, she has helped clients with sobriety, self-love, and personal growth.
Through her work and lived experiences, Em has learned that trauma and adversity can often leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, our bodies, and our instincts. In response, we develop coping strategies—such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, substance use or self abandonment that may have once served us but are no longer helpful. In therapy, Em focuses on helping clients reconnect with their inner wisdom by healing past wounds, building a compassionate relationship with themselves, and tuning towards the body’s wisdom. From this foundation, clients can experience lasting relief and embrace life more fully.
Em specializes in trauma recovery, family dynamics, depression, anxiety, sobriety/recovery, codependency, ADHD, Highly Sensitive Individuals, and perfectionism. With her deep empathy, kind, gentle spirit, and playful sense of humor, Em creates an environment where you feel truly seen and supported. She integrates approaches like Brainspotting, breathwork, mindfulness, somatic techniques, 12-step work, and attachment-based interventions to help clients move forward with greater ease and stability. Em is passionate about creating a non-judmental and affirming space for folks of all spiritual/religious affiliations, race, gender identities, sexual identities, socio-economic groups and other diverse identities.
Outside of therapy, you can find Em cuddling with her two cats, hiking and climbing, hunting for vintage treasures, and nurturing her houseplants.
Em is currently accepting new clients - please reach out here to schedule an intake!

The Ultimate Therapeutic Presence
Cali is a 15 year old short haired dachshund with a genuine love for life and calming presence. Like Cameron, she brings her full personality into session with her. Cali offers clients at Beyond Counseling and Wellness her presence and encouragement, reminding us all to focus on what’s most important in life - treats and fluffy beds of course! Cali accompanies Cameron both at the office and in the background over telehealth to support clients on their healing journey. While she may be slowing down a little bit in her golden years, her enthusiasm to welcome you into sessions knows no bounds - you’ll see what we mean when she trots out to meet you at the start of session!
If you would prefer a dog-free environment for therapy, be sure to let us know! Cali understands and will gladly work from home that day with her little brother Fynn and her blankets!
