Trauma therapy for embodied healing and compassionate living
Welcome!
I’m Cameron Clark, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Brainspotting Consultant and trauma informed yoga instructor with over a decade of experience supporting people on their path to healing and personal development. I specialize in complex trauma, anxiety, women’s health and life transitions.
I aim to support my clients in developing a more compassionate relationship with themselves, building trust in their inner experience, and working through trauma in a way that honors the body and nervous system’s role in wellbeing. I am committed to working collaboratively with my clients to support lasting change, and am here to walk alongside you on that journey. You don’t have to figure it out on your own, we’ll meet the moment together.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual therapy is a space to slow down and make sense of what you’re moving through with support that’s attuned, collaborative, and enriched by real connection. My approach is integrative, weaving together different interventions in a way that feels responsive and aligned with you. Together, we’ll work toward meaningful, lasting change, at a pace that feels thoughtful and steady.

The first step in starting therapy is already done! You’ve gotten curious and taken the time to explore finding a therapist. If what you find here resonates with you, the next step is to reach out through my contact form or email to schedule a consultation or initial session. You can expect to hear back from me within 48 hours to coordinate a consultation call (see below for more details).
If, after the consultation, you’re ready to move forward, we’ll find a time that works for both of us. From there, you’ll receive an email with access to a secure client portal where you can review and complete a few intake forms ahead of our first meeting. This helps me get a sense of what’s bringing you in and allows us to use our time together more intentionally.
You’ll also receive a separate email with details for your first session, including directions to the office or information for joining via telehealth.

Yes! I offer a brief, 15-minute phone consultation as a way for us to get to know one another a bit. Starting therapy can sometimes feel overwhelming, and a discovery call allows for a bit of familiarity before our first session. During this time, you’ll have a chance to share a little about what’s bringing you to therapy, and I’ll offer a sense of how I approach the work. This is also a great time to ask any questions you may have for me. The goal is simply to get a feel for whether this feels like a good fit and, if so, we can move forward with scheduling an initial session.

The therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the work we’ll do together. While it’s normal for trust to build over the first few sessions, you might notice a sense of ease, curiosity, or feeling understood in our initial conversation. A good fit often feels like there’s enough safety to be yourself, ask questions, and take your time settling in - no pressure.
The consultation call can be a helpful place to get a feel for this. You’re welcome to ask questions, notice how it feels to talk together, and trust your sense of what feels right. Therapy tends to work best when the relationship feels supportive, collaborative, and comfortable. If for any reason it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I will be happy to help connect you with other providers who may be a better match.

Yes, I offer both in-person sessions in Nashville and virtual sessions via a secure telehealth platform for clients located in Tennessee. We can decide together what feels like the best fit for you, and there’s flexibility to shift between the two when needed.

Beyond Counseling and Wellness is a private pay practice and does not accept insurance directly. Some clients choose to use their out-of-network benefits, which means you would pay for sessions upfront and then seek reimbursement from your insurance company. I’m happy to provide a superbill with the information needed for that process.
Coverage can vary quite a bit, so I recommend checking with your insurance provider ahead of time to understand your specific benefits. Some people choose not to use out-of-network benefits due to privacy considerations, the requirement of a formal diagnosis, or limits on the number or type of sessions covered.
